I need help! some one who is 50 years old & was in school around the 1960's when schools were integrated.?

yes, kids of color were in my grade, but none of them were my friends. It was the first year of integration in Maryland, so they were not treated respectfully, they were just sort of ignored. Integration was too long in coming, and definitely a good thing. My algebra teacher was Black--only one in school
