What did I do to my knee?

Yesterday at my basketball game I drove to the basket and I tripped over the girls foot with my right leg, but as I did so my left knee gave out and my knee hit the ground hard. I didn't play the rest of the game. I was able to extend it but it still hurt. This morning I was able to walk around on it but it was stiff. When I press on the inside of my knee it hurts and I can extend it but I feel some pain and stiffness. There is a bruise there today (not where my knee hurts though) and a little swelling. Did I just badly bruise my knee or could this be an acl tear?

Weird Dream ??? Whys it happening ?

well it was really scary it's called sleep paralysis and it happens to me all the time maybe twice a week and well here's the dream : i was in my own room and i was asleep in my bed in the same position as i was in real life then i woke up (in the dream) and then i got up to go get a gl of water and there's a cupboard sort of thing attached to the bottom of my bed and it was open and as i walked past something pulled me under and when i finally plucked up the courage to look to see what was dragging me under, it was lady gaga (random i no) then i screamed and was kicking her away and then her eyes went Like BLOOD red and shot me and put a hole through my hand and then i screamed again ( i screamed in real-life to) and my cousin was sleeping over that night and everyone even the cat's in the house burst in my room and i couldn't wake up for like another 15 Min's according to my cousin and im only 11( i no to young but i've got permission to be on here )anyway when i woke up i was shivering and now im really scared of the cupboard thing and they happen all the time but there not all sleep paralysis one sometime there just weird !!! Is it a Hindu, Muslim, or Indian practice to leave doors open? I live in an apartment building and most of my neighbors are Indian or Middle Eastern and they insist on propping the outer doors of the building open. I brought this to the attention of the manager, and he sent letters to everyone in the building except me to please close the doors, but it didn't work. I am concerned about animals coming in as there are stray cats in the neighborhood who hang around the trash bin because someone puts their trash on the ground and not in the dumpster, as well as the loss of heat and AC, flies, bees, etc., and it is also a fire hazard. I left my house going North around 7:35 am to go to school, and it was very icy out, so I was going kept staying between 45 and 50 mph. I got 6 miles away from my house, and I saw ambulance lights about a mile ahead on the road, so I knew I had to slow down. I tapped on my break slowly, and my car swerved all over the road, I lost control, went into the right side ditch, came back out, and ended up in my lane, still facing the same way, but turned more towards the Northeast. I got out of my car to see if any damage was done, and none was done. I saw a truck coming about a mile away, so I got back in my car, so I could move it fully to the side of the road to avoid an accident. Well within about 5 seconds, the truck hit the back, left end of my car, while I was moving it, and the truck ended up in the left side cornfield. There was damage done to my car and the truck. There was a complete other lane that it could have ped in. Who should pay? I'm just looking for opinons.

Okay, im a Christian, lutheran, and 14 years old. I really want to understand and be close to God, but i don't feel like i am. 6 mos old golden pup has watery, frequent diarrhea?

We've been to the vet yesterday and he said to wait it out on a diet of Iams low residue and gave us metronidazole to give 2 times a day for a week. He didn't seem too worried b/c Ollie looked good overall. Lat night however he started the frequent, explosive watery diarrhea. He went almost every hr. and is very sleepy and depressed looking. He did eat a bit this morning and was looking for more. He has been drinking a small amnt. of which I added Pedialyte to so he can replenish. Obviously, I will call vet again today but thought I'd get some input first. Anyone know what this is? I brought a stool sample but he didn't check it b/c we were just in last month and had it tested and all was neg. Ollie also has had intermittent loose stools since Feb. Nothing to this extent though. Any ideas?

My mother in law has bowel cancer, Finding this difficult to deal with>>?

My partners mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer 4 weeks ago. The hospital said things would move fast, but now 4 weeks on they are only beginning treatment. It has spread to her liver and lungs. Decorating a crappy dorm?

Today, my worst fears were confirmed. I got a dorm on the basement, and it's the same dorm that was empty last year where they placed people for a few days that had moved out with their roommate. I had to stay there for a night; a bright light was shining through the window, you could hear the piping from the higher floors and people stomping, and the lock on the bathroom door didn't work. I hated that single night so much I was ecstatic that I was able to move back up to my room on the fourth floor. First heat for my dog?

I have a 9 month old female GSD. As far as I know, she has not had her first heat (I would figure that we would notice). When should I become worried about her? I know the majority of dogs experience their first heat between 6-9 months. Also, what signs should I be looking for, so I can take precautions with her around other dogs? She is a long haired GSD and you can't really see anything down there, so I think it would be hard to spot any swelling. At this point, I am just waiting to notice some blood. I was driving back home over the Golden Gate Bridge, and this guy was doing like 70 (its a 45) granted I was doing like 55-60 he got on my and I brake checked him and he went around me and straight slammed on his brakes, to a complete stop and started screaming and cursing at me out the windows. I swerved and was maybe 2 inches from hitting the car in the next lane. He then proceeded to follow me and hold his horn down until we got to the toll booth, LUCKILY I live in San Francisco and have a FasTrak which allows me to go through toll without paying cash (it charges credit card) so I lost him.

What is your position on isted suicide?

As an ICU nurse, I totally agree with isted suicide. I know all about the religious ramifications of suicide, but I believe that's between the person and their God, and none of my concern. I have seen people who suffered terribly because doctors have taken an oath to "first do no harm". It is their job to keep that person alive, even if it is nothing short of torture. I've seen patients tied down, on ventilators, as bloated as a dead horse, weeping fluids from every body opening, with every organ shutting down and uncontrollable infections coursing through their veins. Everyone knows that person is terminal....even the patient knows it. Some family members insist the doctors do all they can, either out of love or guilt. Other family members, or the patient themselves, had the foresight to make out a "Do Not Resuscitate" form, but all that means is "no CPR". The patient still has to suffer until such time that their heart mercifully stops on it's own. At that point, then the doctors can let him go with what little dignity the patient has left. If there is no "DNR" form, when the patients heart stops, the staff revives the patient. All just so he can suffer a little while longer. I've had patients write messages to me, begging me to turn off their ventilators. Which, of course, I cant do. It is MY stance that if 3 consulting physicians can deem the person as mentally sound and physically terminal, then the patient should have the right to make his OWN decision about life or death. It should be solely the patients choice, and not up to the family (since some may want to expedite his death for sake of the will). This would only work, of course, as long as the patient was still cognizant. And, of course, there will always be family members who want to sue because it's their belief that Dad made a premature decision based on the power of suggestion, or maybe based on some lab work that was off-kilter and could possibly have clouded his judgement. If a person has a 100% terminal illness, or even if it is just simply their choice not to suffer through the treatments to get well, I think it is their right to die by euthanasia, if they so desire. They'll have to answer to God for it, but--again, that's not the doctor's concern.

I have couple of friends and i feel as if im not close to them anymore. I'm fine with being a loner because im moving to a new school in 3 months anyway. Essentially, the love ends up destroying their lives and the lives of those around them. Mr. Lockwood's maid, who used to work for Catherine and Heathcliff at Wuthering Heights, tells the story to Mr. Lockwood when he is sick (there are a few chapters in which Mr. Lockwood actually does things, but most of the story is just in the words of the maid). Disney lovers, I need your opinions!?

I'm a huge, HUGE disney fan but could only ever really afford to stay at the values on the few times we've been :/ I have however been inside many of the more upscale ones. The Grand Floridian is sweet, sort of a victorian, Alice in Wonderland feel, but nothing that takes your breath away theme-wise though it is very beautiful. The Contemporary is just that-very modern, not really something I was interested in. The Wilderness Lodge, my friend stayed at a year back and showed me various pictures. That looks very cool! But my favorite is Boardwalk, hands down. I would love to stay there some day. First, it's just a little boat ride away from Epcot. Also, I don't know about you but I love the idea of staying at the Boardwalk, especially at night with the flame jugglers and all of the carnival-like exhibits. It just has so much life to it! I'd love to fall asleep to the music. The hotel itself is as beautiful as any others with incredible ambiance and a very antique feel to it. Definitely my favorite by far :)

Any ideas, totally out of the norm?

I want to do something extravagant for my "quince", but nothing like the other girls in my cl do. They have really big parties and tacky stuff like that, with big puffy dresses and bad music. I have a solution, A, in which there are two halides. I have to identify them. When I add silver nitrate, the solution turns whitish/creamy, and I don't know if this would indicate Chlorine or Bromine. When I add concentrated ammonia, a dark/brown precipitate (a very small amount) appears in the solution. Adding nitric acid didn't result in any visible change. Help on teaching myself how to sing?

I'm 17, and people say i talk in a monotone. I'm very musical, i'm musically inclined, i play trumpet, the drums, i played a little bit of b and i'm learning guitar. I want to teach myself to learn how to sing well, i'd say my range is around a tenor or alto. I'd say my voice is somewhat dry when i do sing, i can try to sing songs like Everlong by the foo fighters, or sort of low voice areas. like Julian Casablancas also. I could sing some of the things Dave Grohl sings by taking it down an octave. so yeah. Are there any tips i can have? I don't smoke or drink or anything. If it helps, my goal by the time i graduate (2012) i want to record an album, by the end of this summer i want to record at least a demo and i write all the music i'm going to record. I just need help on teaching myself how to sing because i wanna sing well especially for my demo.

Is Rift like World of warcraft?

I've played world of warcraft for 4 years, but the past 3 months I've stopped..one of those phases. I don't like cataclysm and miss the old WoW that I have fond memories of. Is there a difference between "Love" and "Depression"?

Now I don't want to seem like a "Drama Queen", I am a guy after all, but I was just wondering. I dread the thought of actually being depressed, and needing help, but I went onto a website, and basically it word for word described how I have felt for over 6 months now. I thought to myself, "Ah, whatever it's probably just a coincidence", but then I read on and it was almost like the page was having a conversation with me. I would say "_______" and it would say "Your child probably feels "________" about this, but It's important to know it's a problem, or whatever. It's kind of scary to think about, and I don't want there to be anything wrong with me. On a side note, for the past 8 months or so, I have had deep feelings for a girl that I know. I have tried to impress her in more ways than I could ever remember, but always subtlety, so it often goes unnoticed. My friends often refer to her as a "" and talk about how awful things she has done are. I don't really have a problem with anything she does, but I can't say a single bad thing about her, without feeling intensely guilty afterward. I know that because she has so much "experience" she would never waste her time with a guy like me, and I have gotten into a sort of state of unhappiness, even when I don't think of her. That's why I'm so confused, I wonder that maybe I am depressed, after all, I did fit the description perfectly. I have turned to playing an addictive videogame, which is a little sad, but it sort of "nulls the pain", and prevents me from doing too many drugs. Depends on what you mean by "bad". If you mean that it was poorly written, etc. then nothing, it was critically acclaimed and is to this day one of my favorite books. However, if you mean from a content standpoint, then what you are probably referring to the scene. Besides that, the book was EXTREMELY bleak and dark, and there were several chapters where a character is tortured. I highly reccomend you read it outside of cl, or if it's because your parents won't let you then it's probably because they don't think you're old/mature enough. Hope that answered you question! ^-^

Why do I put up a front?

I smile, laugh, and act happy but I'm not. I am so stressed out I feel like I'm going to explode! I hate myself for allowing my dad to molest me as a child and not killing him but I was scared. I hate myself for not going to college. I feel like a little speck of dirt that no one notices. I try to be a good mom but my back hurts so bad from lifting and tugging on my 5 year old who is paralyzed from the waist down. And the only thing I can say truly without exaggeration is how much I love my kids. No one likes me no matter how hard I try to make friends. too clingy can be bad, but clingy enough to feel wanted. Try and act interested when he goes off on an excited tangent about something he loves, even if you couldn't care less about it, acting interested will make him feel good about himself, which strengthens the bond between you two. Initiating contact is good and sharing your feelings about him with him is a grey area, that really depends on the guy, you can kinda tell if he'd like that by if he seems pretty open. If he seems guarded about his emotions, I would limit the mushy gushy stuff. For me, I like a girl who has her own interests, hobbies and aspirations, and actively pursues them. It gives me the chance to learn something new, and it gives you two the space you need sometimes while you "do your thing." It all boils down to: relax, have fun, be yourself, have your own life while still being engaged into the relationship, and pay attention to his personality and accommodate whatever issues arise (if the relationship/issues are worth compromising on.)
