What do guys want in relationships and what do they like about girls beyond physical stuff?

too clingy can be bad, but clingy enough to feel wanted. Try and act interested when he goes off on an excited tangent about something he loves, even if you couldn't care less about it, acting interested will make him feel good about himself, which strengthens the bond between you two. Initiating contact is good and sharing your feelings about him with him is a grey area, that really depends on the guy, you can kinda tell if he'd like that by if he seems pretty open. If he seems guarded about his emotions, I would limit the mushy gushy stuff. For me, I like a girl who has her own interests, hobbies and aspirations, and actively pursues them. It gives me the chance to learn something new, and it gives you two the space you need sometimes while you "do your thing." It all boils down to: relax, have fun, be yourself, have your own life while still being engaged into the relationship, and pay attention to his personality and accommodate whatever issues arise (if the relationship/issues are worth compromising on.)
